Frequently Asked Questions

Moving to a senior living residence can bring up a lot of questions. We have the answers to some of your most common queries below, but reach out to us if you have any others.

Q: Can I tip the staff?

A:

Though a thoughtful gesture, it is against our policy for staff to accept any gratuities from residents or their families. Christmas-time is the only exception, though we ask to keep the gratuity under $20.

Q: How often is laundry done?

A:

At Edgewater, your basic personal laundry is done for you once per week, at no cost. All we require is that all clothing to be labeled with your name and room number, so we can ensure it is returned to the proper resident.

Q: How often is housekeeping done?

A:

We provide light cleaning daily, including bathroom tidying, bed straightening and fresh towels. A more thorough cleaning is provided once a week and includes vacuuming, a change of bed linens and a deep cleaning of the bathroom.
